BAY OF ISLANDS AERO CLUB FLYING SCHOLARSHIP
 
    The Bay of Islands Aero Club is offering one scholarship to the value of $5000, to a person aged between 15 and 25 years. The initial sponsorship covers the cost of a year's club membership and tuition by the club instructors for approximately 30 hours.
Applicants must be:

(a)   15 to 25 years of age.

(b)   In good health (i.e. able to pass a CAA class 2 medical examination. This will be provided by the club).

(c)    Resident in Kerikeri or surrounds.

(d)   All applicants will undergo a selection process. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in club activities.

    If the successful candidate fails to make sufficient progress, the scholarship may be discontinued at the discretion of the club Chief Flying Instructor, and passed to another candidate.

    Those wishing to apply for the scholarship should submit a short essay on why they want to learn to fly and provide the following data:
